For this project, we were assigned to add a piece of a painting to a large collection of paintings inspired by Picasso's "Guernica" painting. My group made a piece to advocate for use of concealed carry. We also created a PSA video to show how concealed carry can protect women. Some very special research opportunities were provided to us such as a virtual tour of the Breman Jewish Museum, and a screening of the movie "One Love." This project opened my eyes to many issues going on in the world right now.
The Food 4 Thought project included many classes, such as AP World History, Art, and World Lit. In World History, we cooked dishes in groups with ingredients from one of the hemispheres, not being able to use ingredients from the other. In art, we used clay and three different pottery methods to create dishes or other eating appliances. I made a turtle dish with a detachable lid. In world Lit, we created a recipe using ingredients from our AP World class and brought the final recipe to class to share.
