I am a scholarship scholar in eighth grade, I was recommended by the eighth grade student counselors and I was children out of all of the eighth graders in my class I did the interview process with a panel of judges, and after the interview, I was selected out out of many students from APS after the interview process, I was lucky to have a mentor and I received $10,000 for a college of my choice in Georgia.

This year was my first year as a HRRB team member the team consisted of five other girls and we had to read 20 books and compete at the end of the year by answering questions on all 20 books. Drew’s team for 2024-2025 won second place in the regional competition. 

This is my second year working with in the book buddies program. Every month we walked down to the elementary Academy and read two books to the different classes.
