In order to make the mud bricks we had to get water and pour it into the dirt to make mud. then we had to step into the muddy hole and mix the mud s and take sticks and rocks so there wouldn't be air bubbles and it would be sturdy when it dry. Then we used a wooden frame to shape the bricks and left them in the sun for a few days to dry. The mud couldn't be too wet or too liquidy or it would fall apart. I think i would survive in a Mesopotamian settlement building the homes I probably wouldn't want to do that everyday and Id be tired but it worked pretty well.
