THE ENVIRONMENT PROJECT -Industrial Fire in Conyers Incedio Industrial en Conyers
I drew a blue coffee cup filled with coffee spilled. My coffee cup looks completly different. All three sides look combined and morphed. the cylinders were the easiest because the cup is already a cylinder. I belive all drawings can be simplified into shaps using geometry you can simplify your art into more accurate shapes.
Reclining Nude (1932) Pictures a young woman sitting down on her bottom. Her right leg crossed over he left leg with her foot pointed. Her arms are stretched out covering both of her legs. Her left arm is holding her leg and her right hand touching the ground while holding her body up. PofD Reclining Nude (1932) Showcases a lack of balance in an intentional way. Augusta Savage’s works displayed the joy and pain of black people in America. The piece shows a woman sitting in a position that reminds me of the saying “carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders”. The woman seems exhausted so the design of the woman caving in/ holding up her body conveys her emotions really well IMO.
EofA Reclining Nude (1932) subject makes a triangular shape with her arms and legs which I think adds depth and makes you want to keep looking to see what other shapes are In the piece. I think Agusta Savage’s work Reclining Nude (1932) Represents How black women are seen as Strong and tough constantly. I honestly really enjoy this piece. I feel like it accurately captures the feelings black women tend to feel. I think it's a great piece and deserves to be more recognised.
In a small group we boiled/ heated blue berries to make a dyeing solution. we then put the fabric in water then the solution to dye it purple. After a while we poured baking soda into the dyeing solution which created a chemical reaction turing the liquid green then we dyed parts of the fabric green. After this we rinsed the fabric to stablize the colors and seal them into the fabric and allowed our work to dry.

I worked with another student to create a visual representation of atoms sharing electrons/ Covalent atoms. Each paper is a different atom and the colored stips represent the electrons that are being shared between the atoms. My partner and I designed the bond papers to look playing card inspo. We started by finding a color palet then we cut three different colored papers. Then i wove them together and cut out the decoratins in red then sealed everything together with glue.
How does chemistry relate to paper making?
We use different chemicals to create chimical reactions which change the colors of whatever is being dyed.
How do you think hand-made paper could be an art-form?)
you can use the paper making techniqes to make the paper react to the paint differently and design different things in a sustainable way.
Use this sticker as you seek understanding of the assignment or problem. Typically this will come from the community, your instructor, or your own observation. You must completely understand the objectives of the project to be successful, so this step is crucial. Develop active listening skills! Entry events for a project are usually a great place to start!
Use this sticker as you examine a problem from all angles. Ask questions, observe people, situations, and artifacts. Develop empathy for the problem that people facing the situation are experiencing. Find out what you know and what you need to know. Explore all of it!
Use this sticker as you are discussing and exploring ideas for how to solve a problem. Record these ideas quickly. Ideas may come in the form of graphic organizers, notes, drawings, outlines, or video blogs. Remember to seek feedback before progressing to the next step (then use the Evaluation/Modification sticker).
Use this sticker as you share your more formal ideas--3-d prototypes, mock-ups, drafts, skits, simulations, and storyboards. Remember to seek feedback before progressing to the next step (then use the Evaluation/Modification sticker).
Use this sticker when you are evaluating your decisions at each step in the process. When you note a user’s feedback also note what you intend to do about it going forward.
Use this sticker to explain how you are trying your prototype with real users. Try it out and note the way it performs and is understood by a real audience. Explain methodology and note observations.
Draw a graph that represents the natural cycle of the seasons. Name and describe the typical weather for each season (spring, summer, fall, winter) in a complete sentence in Spanish. Draw and color a picture for each season that visually represents its characteristics. Record a video with the oral presentation of your poster. Post evidence of this work in your STEAM Portfolio. This is a Spanish only presentation. Study this rubric. Your poster must be colorful and attractive, and it should be easy to read from a distance. Follow the instructions carefully. Be punctual.
In a group students were asked to make pottery inspired/using different cultural techniques such as African/carrabean pottery techniques.
I used STEAM in the mandala project by 1 using technology (computers) to research the science parts and design ideas. I used art in this project by drawing the designs to make the project (A art piece) I was creative by deciding what color scheme you use and what designs would look the most pleasing. My art piece had 5 rings with different designs and colors. One of the rings has a blue background and planets, stars, and aliens on it. I used balance and patterns for my principles of design. Each pair of symbols are parallel to another symbol and we had to use patterns/symbols to complete the project. I do think my group's mandala looks good because most of the colors pair well and the designs everyone chose looks fun.
In Hinduism, a basic mandala, also called a yantra, takes the form of a square with four gates containing a circle with a center point. Each gate is in the general shape of a T. Mandalas often have radial balance. Despite its cosmic meanings a yantra is a reality lived. Because of the relationship that exists in the Tantras between the outer world
On 8/13/24 we looked at a van gogh drawing and decided what elements of art he used to create his peice. each student re created his piece using different shapes.
On 8/8/24 In visual arts we learned about color theory and how depending on the colors around the subject the color looks different to our eyes.
On 8/6/24 In art We learned about different kinds of composiions like rule of thirds and positioning.
7.30.24 - But is it art?
I believe art is meant to inform you, express emotion, or make you think. Art for me is a safe space and way I can express myself or release emotions I'm not able to vocalize. I don't think there is one way to make art the same way there is no one way to express yourself. People go to school to work on their skills so they can create the art that's in their minds and turn it into a reality. Art is seen as patterns, colors, and words in subjects like science and math. We use patterns to answer questions or drawings to connect information together. In classes like ELA and History we describe settings and ideas we tell stories which are art. We use design to create things like schedules and seating charts both hold patterns and ideas (different aspects of art).
