Space is the new place: What did I do?
For "Space Is The New Place" I worked with two other students to create a sculpture inspired by greek culture of an old statue sitting in a garden with plants and vines growing around and out of it. The material we use were cardboard, white cloneThe material we use were cardboard, white clay, brown clay, pipe cleaner , aluminum foil, fake vines, paper towel rolls, and fairy lights. We used the cardboard as a base for our statue. We then used the paper towel rolls and covered it in white clay to act as our pillars. We then used aluminum foil and white clay to create the statue bust, and after we did that, we use the clay to attach the pillars and the beast together within, allowed everything to dry and started painting. After we finished painting the garden scene, we hot glued the fake vines and pipe cleaners around the piece to make it seem like there was a garden growing around the statue after all of that, we added fairy lights as a nice touch to pull the whole piece together.
