For this assignment, we had to describe our house from memory by heart. The goal was to practice speaking and presenting in Spanish using the Presentational Mode of Communication. We followed the same driving questions that we have been working on in class to help organize what we were saying. We also had to look at the example our teacher gave us and use it as a guide for how to structure our description. The main purpose of the assignment was to practice speaking clearly and describing different parts of our house in Spanish.

For my Black History Month project, I focused on the life and impact of Madam C. J. Walker. She was one of the first self-made female millionaires in the United States and built a successful business centered around hair care products for Black women. Through this project, I learned how she overcame poverty, discrimination, and personal challenges to create opportunities not only for herself but for thousands of other women by providing jobs and promoting financial independence. I also explored how she used her success to give back to her community and support causes like education and civil rights. Overall, this project helped me better understand her lasting influence on business, empowerment, and Black history.
For my final project in geometry, I painted glass by using a variety of shapes. Our inspiration for this project was an abstract modern bird. We incorporated elements of art by using different colors and shapes, and by making patterns with the shapes. We used principles of design by including balance, unity, and pattern. This connects with proofs because we had to take into account stuff like opposite angles are congruent
Newtons Rocket
To build the rocket we taped three straws to the bottom half of an empty water bottle. Then we poured vinegar into the bottle and put baking soda on one ply sheet of toilet paper to later put in the rocket. Elements of art apply to this because of the shape of the water bottle and the colors of the straws. Elements of design were incorporated by testing the rocket after we built it. The rocket applies to Newton's third law because for whatever action there's an opposite reaction and in this case, the gas created by the baking soda and vinegar mixture was suppose to push the rocket up. Unfortunately, our rocket fell to the side but still exploded.
