This project focused on studying the relationship between students’ screen time and their academic performance. For the project, we created and distributed a survey to collect data from students about how much time they spend on their phones and what their grades are. After gathering and analyzing the responses, we looked for patterns and trends in the data. Our results suggested that there is a trend where higher screen time is associated with lower grades. During the process, we also faced some limitations, such as not having many AP students in our class to include in the data. Overall, the purpose of this project was to better understand how phone usage may impact students’ school performance and to help students become more aware of how their screen time could affect their grades.
