For this assignment, we had to create our own assignment. I choose to do the Beauty of Everyday. The goal of this assignment is to explore the beauty that lies in everyday moments, objects, and scenery, often overlooked in our daily lives. By focusing on common or mundane subjects, I had the opportunity to practice capturing multiple types of textures, lighting, and composition that all piece together the story.
In my Don Quixote project, I was able to explore modeling sinusoidal functions in a real-world context. I used patterns and repeating cycles to understand better how sine and cosine graphs can represent motion and change over time. This project helped me connect math to something more meaningful by showing how these functions can model real situations, not just exist as equations on a page. Through this process, I improved my understanding of amplitude, period, and shifts, and I became more confident in graphing and interpreting sinusoidal functions.
I created a series of comics that explore key moments and figures in American history. Through engaging visuals and storytelling, I aimed to make historical events both accessible and entertaining. Each comic highlights important themes, decisions, and cultural shifts, while also reflecting my personal style and creativity as an artist. This project allowed me to combine research, narrative, and illustration, showcasing my ability to communicate complex ideas visually.
