This was my final project in visual arts. For this project, I chose an artist I liked and created a bouquet of flowers inspired by them. I chose Diana because I thought her work was super interesting. I really like how she combines crochet with hyperbolic planes. My artwork is related because it's both crocheted. One big editing change that I had to think about was how many flowers of each color did I want. I made some changes because I didn’t like the balance of some of the flowers compared to the whole bouquet. I used different colors of yarn, stuffing, and skewers.
Visual arts 5/1/2024 - Solar balloons
For this experiment, we created "Solar Balloons". These balloons were created by taping black trash bags filled with air closed. Once you heat the air long enough inside then the air expands because when the temperature rises so does volume, as proven by Charles law.

Our electron mandala incorporated STEAM because it used art and science. From science, we used what we learned to properly count the electrons and the rings around the nucleus for our element. We used art because we had to cut out and draw our mandalas. Finally, we incorporated world history because we included symbols from Buddhism like the lotus flower. The mandala helps us learn new perspectives because it lets us learn about how people use mandalas and how they can be a very helpful tool. I feel like our work was successful because all of our designs work together. If I were a teacher I would definitely make sure I shared all of the correct instructions with my students to make sure I set them up for success.
It can be used to aid in meditation. Helping you focus on becoming your better self. Mandalas are apart of Hindu and Buddhism. In mandalas I see lots of balance and pattern. You could use a mandala to show an atom by the center being the nucleus and the circles around it have the electrons.
