Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy
Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy is a club sponsored and founded ny Chick-fil-A and orchestrated by Dr. Angela Pool. This club is based around leadership opportunites and community service. Throughout my service in this club, I've been given the privilege to give back to my Atlanta community by participating in book drives, clothing donations, and reading said books to children. The ability to display my aspirations to be a leader towards my community, and also be of siginificant help has caused great happiness to grow within me. We've created another project in the future for children and adults alike. The process of this project has given me great excitement and joy to use my abilities to truly be of service to all communities. Being apart of this club has shown me that to be a leader is to not simply order your colleagues around, but to know those that surround you and how you can be a change for them.
Drew Charter School: Rotary Interact Club
The Drew Charter School Rotary Interact Club is a community service-based organization founded by 12th-grade student Jewel Edwards. During my time in this club, I've helped create book libraries for students in need around Atlanta to give them the opportunity to not only receive the necessary materials, but to also have the chance to earn an education like their peers. We have presented at mayoral luncheons and will be presenting more in the future to showcase the work we've done for our community. Being apart of this club has given me insight to I can be of service to communities around the world and genuinely be delighted with my work towards people. Knowing that I can put a smile on someone's face and be a change is what allowed me to keep doing what I know I can do best, be an example.
