In September of 2023, Dragon Con, a pop culture convention revolving around science fiction & fantasy, took place in downtown Atlanta. I was fortunate enough to speak alongside other science fiction authors and artists on "Closer Look" with Rose Scott down at WABE. She asked me about writing a book at such a young age, my inspirations behind the story, and my plans moving forward.

The Blacklisted Banned Book Fair was an event organized by the National Black Arts Festival — an organization that supports and uplifts Atlanta's Black arts. The Book fair adressed the attack on banned books in the country and invited authors and artists to come speak to audiences and promote their book. A fellow classmate and I, were invited to do a reading of our 10th grade books on the first day of the event. We were then given an opportunity to come back the next day to set up a table and sell them to attendees of the fair.

In September 2024, I was invited to present my short film "Get There" at the Morehouse Human Rights Film Festival. I, alongside my classmate Calaya, were one of 4 student filmmakers that were featured in the festival and that were asked to speak at on a panel after the showcase. We spoke about our art, our processes, the inspiration behind our stories, and then took questions from the audience which consisted of other APS high schoolers. The experience was enriching and completely surreal and equiped me with more practice with public speaking and discussing my work and film ambitions.
