YWrite Project

In the beginning (Sep 19, 2022 at 3:14 PM).MOV

In the beginning of our YWrite process, we were asked to discuss our feelings and thoughts about the project so far.

We then were asked to make a video after the project was over to discuss how we felt the project went to compare it to our feelings in the beginning.

I was able to successfully complete the project and become 1 out of 27 published authors in the 10th grade. Over the course of 6 months, I came up with my own story and wrote 60 pages.

Figurative Language Presentation (Sep 21, 2022 at 3:54 PM).MOV

Figurative Language Presentation

For our figurative language project, we were asked to make a creative presentation  (skit, rap, poem, short story, etc.) to showcase our understanding of figurative language. My group decided to make a Family Feud-themed skit titled Figurative Feud where each question related to figurative language.

Joy Luck Club Lesson

Joy Luck Club Lesson

Our Joy Luck Club Lesson was a part of a project where the class was split into groups and tasked with teaching a chapter from the book the Joy Luck Club to the rest. To get a deeper understanding of what it takes to teach a class, we set up a lesson plan and created a presentation with visuals and acivities to keep the audience engaged.

I AM Poem

For our Deeply Rooted Project, we spoke frequently about culture and one's roots. In ELA, since we were already learning about poems, we made an "I Am" poem that detailed specific attributes, experiences, and unique traits about ourselves.
