To me, art is something that you create with meaning. A piece of art doesn't necessarily have to be a physical object. Art can be a performance, a painting on a canvas, a song, and even a screen play script. Art doesn't always have to have monetary value, as long as it has meaning for someone.
The mandala is used for meditation purposes and helps the user imagine their perfect self and how to achieve that state of being. Civilizations that were primarily Buddhist often used mandalas. In the mandalas I can see balance, movement, rhythm, and unity. You could make the center of the mandala the nucleus and design the electrons around the nuclues.

What have you been taught about in art this year that relates to other classes?
This year in art I have incorporated the structure of an atom of an element into an art piece that I've created and created mandala art based on how many electron levels there were in the atom of my choice.
What have you done this year so far that demonstrates you understand Principles of Design and Elements of Art?
Our most recent project the charcoal and still life drawings both incorporated the Principles of Design and the Elements of Art. The still life drawing incorporated a lot of repetition which was represented in the dots overall creating the still life drawing. The Principle of Design that was present in the charcoal drawing was the value. The darkness of the shadows depicted on the drawing are in great contrast with the rest of the drawing.
How do you experiment with different possibilities in your planning and process and how can you show your process?
You can show your process by taking pictures throughout the creation of the art and you can experiment by using colors that aren't present in the example.
What famous/historic art have you learned about so far?
We've learned about historic art that has used perspective and art that uses dots to blend colors and create a very detailed picture.
Borax is a colorless form of salt that is able to dissolve in water. Borax contains sodium, hydrogen, boron, and oxygen. We used hot water because the temperature allows the borax to dissolve more amounts of borax. Supersaturated is when more than the maximum amount of the solute is added to the solvent. The higher the temperature of the water the more likely it is be able to support supersaturated solutes. When the water cools it is unable to dissolve the supersaturated borax. My 3D sculpture is dynamic because the shape of my crystal resembles the sun from a show I used to watch as a child.
In Modernist art, abstraction came about with the artist Kandinsky. Impressionism was the base for abstract artists. The art style included bright colors, snapshots seen in real life, and spontaneous creation. Native American abstract art includes more spiritual pieces, feelings, and subjects inside of the art that can be detected through observing which colors are used. Abstract could be related to science or math because their are certain colors related with certain subjects. I asked some of my classmates what color they would relate to math and the answers that I received were red, yellow, and blue. Data can be used to create art through ai. You could enter

You could enter data from a computer onto an ai art website and let the application determine the outcome. I think I'd like to work with art in a more personally expressive way because for me to truly consider it art, it would have to come from the hands of a human rather than a computer.
