Being my fifth and final year at Charles Drew Charter School, my 12th-grade year will be one I will remember for the rest of my life, as it is the last year before my next chapter. I believe Drew does an amazing job at curating moments to remember for their students to reminisce.
I created a flow chart for leukocytes, also known as white blood cells. I made the project knight-themed to emphasize the ways that leukocytes protect our bodies from harmful pathogens. Leukocytes are separated into two groups: granular leukocytes and agranular leukocytes, which are divided by whether or not they have granules in their cytoplasm.

For this assignment, I chose an in-class assignment I had done in my English 1101 class, one of the many classes Drew students can take when they join Drew's Early College/Dual Enrollment program and Georgia State University. I reformed it into a watercolor painting based on the narrative I wrote in class. My written assignment followed a girl spending the summer in Ireland with her fisherman uncle, when she met a sea creature she followed into the water.
