I currently play soccer for concord Fire , where I have been a dedicated player since 3rd grade. Through years of training and competitive play, I have continued to develop my technical skills, game awareness, and teamwork. I have also participated in college showcases and camps, where I’ve had the opportunity to demonstrate my abilities in front of coaches and recruiters while competing at a high level. The past year i was able to win a state championship with my school Drew charter
During this internship, my team and I worked together to design and develop a surgical device intended to assist with the secondary counting of surgical equipment. The goal of our project was to improve accuracy and efficiency in operating rooms by providing an additional layer of verification to ensure that no tools or materials are accidentally left behind during procedures.
Throughout the process, we collaborated on brainstorming ideas, researching existing solutions, and identifying potential gaps that our device could address. We then moved into the design phase, where we created prototypes and tested different approaches to determine what would be most effective and practical in a real surgical setting. This required us to think critically about usability, safety, and reliability.
As we refined our device, we focused on making it easy for medical staff to use while minimizing disruptions to their workflow. We also considered factors such as durability, accuracy, and ease of implementation. This experience helped me strengthen my teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills, while also giving me valuable insight into how technology can be used to improve patient safety in healthcare environments.
