Farmers Only Project

The Farmers Only Project led us to explore different types of agriculture by constructing a fictional farmer character, and explaining what crops they produce and how they produce them. We were also tasked with creating a menu and foods based on the crops supplied by our specific region of farming. For my project, I made a feta cheese and olive and cucumber dip with pita chips, and prepared a two-minute speech on the commercial agriculture used in the Mediterranean region.

Through this task, we learned about different climates and types of agriculture practiced throughout the globe, and how those practices may differ depending on the end-goal of farming (subsistence vs. commercial). 

I became closer acquainted with the agricultural practices of different cultures through visiting my peer's presentation tables and asking about the lifestyle and production of each farmer in their region.
