I worked with Jordyn, Dustin, and Alexandra to create a timeline of events that led up to the American Revolution. After writing descriptions of each event, we drew lines of causation between integral events on the timeline. For example, we described how Pontiac's Rebellion in the Ohio River Valley was a direct cause for the Proclamation of 1763- fear around Native attacks motivated the British to limit American settlers to within the Appalachian mountains. Overall, I enjoyed working with my team to create an eye-catching and informative project.
In this mini-project, we analyzed a song of our choosing to prove how songs can be analyzed like poetry, and why our chosen song is the greatest of all time. We spent two weeks of class time reviewing terms used in literary rhetorical analysis and deeply analyzing our song to go through a step-by-step essay writing process.
