I'm Alice Davis, a stressed senior at Drew Charter School. Why am I stressed? I keep myself busy. I am a harpist, actress, vocalist, poet, bike activist, and servant leader with Drew's 21st Century Leaders Club and Step Up Program. Between school and my weekly harp lessons, I somehow find time for music practice, writing, cycling, service projects, and my homework. I won't pretend it's easy, but it is rewarding. I have received 7 medals from the Georgia Music Educator's Association Solo/Ensemble Competition as well as performed at GMEA's educator conference. I am a Governor's Honors Program finalist for Communicative Arts. I have performed as a lead actress in Drew's production of Fame the Musical and plan to audition for Grease next fall. I have never (at this point) gotten below a 5 on an AP class. And no, I don't have overbearing parents. I challenge myself, motivate myself to reach my own high standards. Sometimes my mom wonders where I got it from. Now, its my turn to take leadership with my peers as a senior in the 2025-2026 school year. Am I ready to lead? Yes. Am I ready to leave? Ask me at graduation. (Spoiler alert: I'll probably say no.)
I aspire to widen my cultural view by continuing my education through rigorous classes and extracurricular activities. I am currently taking the Harp pathway at Drew Charter School and hope to become proficient in the instrument. Apart from this, I hope to be able to submit at least 150 volunteer hours during my high school career. I enjoy serving my community and getting to know others. I excel in my literature and English studies and hope to continue my education in that topic in my college career. Eventually, I want to have my writing published and have it become a bestseller.
