When I first started photography, a friend who was in the class with me encouraged me to stay after multiple time of giving up. Over time, I developed a real passion for it, especially when I could use my camera to express or symbolize something meaningful and vibrant. Now, you’ll see my photos featuring people and their backgrounds, celebrating their achievements and journeys. For instance, I took pictures collaborating with the National Black Arts Festival, even though it wasn’t on my calendar. Despite being a novice, I gave it my all. One of my shots was about HIV awareness, learning about how stereotypes can impact people, but also highlighting the individual behind those stereotypes who loves fashion and travel. During Native American month, I visited Stonemountain’s Park to capture the cultural background and saw foundations that support the community, which I find incredibly inspiring. Overall, working on countless projects can be stressful, but it’s been incredibly helpful. You might only see a few photos here, but my drive is full of many more, each telling a unique story.
