and help develop strong psychological health

DPS Lava organised the 4th Buddy Interaction - सौमित्र for the session 2023-24 in January for the students of Grades I-VIII. Buddy interactions facilitate conversations, learning and social interactions between two student groups. This mutually beneficial exchange between two student groups extends beyond just the academic and has implications for social cues and the inclusion of new students, especially children who are differently abled. Systematic buddy interaction helps deliver the message that working together helps gain insight for doing any task properly and learning from each other.

 The seniors have been given buddies from junior classes. They help them do various activities and guide them in the various tasks assigned by the teacher.  The activities centre around values like -Relationship building, Hand-holding and Developing trust. The children enjoy the activities. This is evident from the photographs below and the reflections shared by them.

सौमित्र is a new initiative that will bear fruit as these mutually beneficial interactions will lead to a blossoming of the buddies. The last Friday of every month has been set apart for सौमित्र.
