The morning assembly helps us cultivate a sense of belonging in the school. It is an exercise in self-discipline and we learn to respect and appreciate what others have done for us. It is a channel to share information related to school life such as club activities and extracurricular activities.
The morning assembly is conducted every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesday mornings are for Mass PT. On this page we share a few glimpses of some notable assemblies of the month.

On the 10th of January 2024, a delightful air of festivity enveloped DPS Lava Nagpur as students from classes IV and VI came together to celebrate the cultural splendours of Makar Sankranti, Lohri and Pongal. These festivals, deeply embedded in rich traditions, symbolize the changing seasons and serve as a powerful catalyst in bringing communities together, fostering goodwill, forgiveness and a profound sense of unity. The vibrant celebrations were a testament to the diversity and beauty of Indian culture, seamlessly woven into the festive tapestry of the country. Students, adorned in colourful attire, transformed the school assembly into a lively and joyful space.
The assembly was Conducted by Saanvi Thaore, Ojas Landge, Princy Singh, Swara Dhamnei Rajpurohit, Devanshi Wakhore, Aradhya Yadav, Khushi Hingade, Arya Kelapure, Ali Haider, Adya Nimbalkar, Malhar Wagh, Tashveen Wadhwa, Ojas Landge, Harshita Nair, Hridaan Gupta, Tarandeep Singh and Urvi Sharma. Vikrant Kindarley, Malhar Wagh and Urvi Sharma enlightened the audience with some amazing facts. The thought for the day was delivered by Shivan Gidwani. Khushi Rajpurohit, Devanshi Wakhore, Aradhya Yadav, Ali Haider, Adya Nimbalkar, Harshita Nair, Hridaan Gupta, Tahveen Wadhwa, Tarandeep Singh and Urvi Sharma showcased their dance and ushered the spirit of festivals, leaving the audience spellbound. The event also featured a soulful poem which was delivered by Arya Kelapure and Khushi Hingade.
The collective efforts of these talented students created an atmosphere of joy and cultural appreciation, reinforcing the importance of embracing and celebrating the rich heritage that unites us all. The cultural extravaganza was indeed a resounding success, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of everyone who participated.

DPS Lava recently gathered to celebrate National Tourism Day, focusing on the significance of tourism in fostering cultural exchange, economic growth and environmental awareness.
The assembly began with an inspiring thought by Shreya Pawar, followed by a news briefing by Anandrup Mondal. Shrihan Gudadhe and Saharsh Gautam provided a brief overview of the day's history and importance, setting the stage for an informative session.
A captivating video showcased India's cultural heritage and natural beauty, emphasizing the transformative power of travel. The speakers highlighted the positive impacts of tourism, including economic development, job creation and historical site preservation.
The assembly concluded with a renewed appreciation for our country's diverse cultures and landscapes. It aimed to instil wanderlust, cultural appreciation and global awareness, fostering a generation that values and respects the beauty of India.

The 75th Republic Day was celebrated on 26th January 2024 in the Delhi Public School Lava premises. The National Flag was unfurled by the Principal of the school Ms Anupama Sagdeo. The teachers and the staff were present for the unfurling ceremony. The students who participated in KHOJ - a treasure hunt event of Grade IV were also a part of the ceremony.

On the solemn occasion of Shaheed Diwas, the students organised a poignant assembly to honour the sacrifices of the brave individuals who laid down their lives for the nation's freedom and integrity. The assembly aimed to commemorate the martyrdom of Mahatma Gandhi, as well as other unsung heroes who have selflessly served the country.
Kainath Sharma and Adwaiya Sathe conducted the assembly. The thought for the day was read by Ekansh Honade. Varad Pimpalkar enlightened everyone with the news while Insiya Ali and Bhoomi Lanjewar gave information on the importance of the day. The highlight of the assembly was a heart-touching skit portraying the life and sacrifices of Flt Lt Ajay Rathod. It captivated the audience with its emotional depth and authenticity. Arushi Raj, Gaurang Teotia, Sarah Hussain, Tanisha Chauhan, Arya Kausadikar, Ruchika Digarse, Inaya Khan and Swara Dhamne performed the skit.
With profound reverence and heartfelt tribute, the students of Wisdom House honoured the memory of the martyrs. They reaffirmed their pledge to uphold the ideals for which the brave men of our country fought valiantly and sacrificed their lives.
