Bharat's Rise in Geopolitics a session by Dr S Jaishankar

I had the privilege of attending a session at Persistent, Bharat's Rise in Geopolitics by  External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar. He received a roaring welcome, reflecting his rising stature.  Dr. Jaishankar, in his insightful address, defined India as "a mindset", deeply rooted in its culture. He replied in his inimitable style to diverse questions, advocating for UNSC reforms and criticizing the "self-styled Chaudharis" of the current system. He defended India's strategic oil purchase from Russia amidst the Ukraine conflict, showcasing astute diplomacy. He also highlighted India's recent achievements, from pandemic management to social progress, laying the groundwork for its continued global ascent. He acknowledged the power of AI and the need for responsible data management, encouraging youth to navigate this evolving landscape. Notably, he pointed to a positive shift in global perception towards India, evidenced by stronger ties with Gulf nations, the Abu Dhabi temple inauguration and improved US relations. Regarding India's alignment with groupings like QUAD and BRICS, Jaishankar asserted India's independent stance, declaring, "India is a mindset, not just history and traditions." As the event concluded, he left the audience with a thought-provoking message: "The game has just started, "a message that resonated with Nagpurians eager to understand the complexities of geopolitics.

Kala Niketan Annual Day as Chief Guest

I was invited to Kala Niketan as Chief Guest for their annual day. The students of performing arts presented ragas, instrumental renditions, Bharatnatyam dances and Kathak dances. The parents of the students also presented mesmerizing performances. It was a visual treat. The theme was very opportune "Lord Rama". Students were awarded Degrees, Diplomas and Awards. Our dance teachers, Archana Bagde and Dhaneshwar Sawariya performed the Bharatnatyam dance which was truly captivating and it showcased their exquisite grace, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.

 विदर्भ हिंदी साहित्य सम्मेलन 

गणतंत्र दिवस के उपलक्ष्य में  विदर्भ हिंदी साहित्य सम्मेलन के उपक्रम के अंतर्गत उड़ान - महिला चेतना मंच के तत्वावधान में माँ भारती को समर्पित देशभक्ति सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम का आयोजन दिनांक 24/01/2024 को मधुबन सभागृह, नागपुर में किया गया था | 

इस कार्यक्रम में प्रधानाचार्या श्रीमती अनुपमा सगदेव जी को मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में आमंत्रित किया गया था | इस अवसर पर, धरती पर स्वर्ग ‘हमारा कश्मीर’  विषय पर वक्तृत्व प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया था | प्रतियोगिता में अनेक प्रतिभागियों ने अपनी वाकपटुता तथा देशप्रेम की भावना का परिचय देते हुए अपने विचार व्यक्त किए साथ ही अनेक सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों की प्रस्तुति ने वातावरण को देशभक्तिमय बना दिया | इस कार्यक्रम का मुख्य आकर्षण मूक - बधिर बच्चे थे जिन्होंने अपने मनमोहक नृत्य एवं राष्ट्र गान से सभी को मंत्रमुग्ध कर दिया | 

प्रतियोगिता में निर्णायक के रूप में अनुपमा सगदेव जी ने अपना अंतिम निर्णय दिया तथा आज़ादी के बाद कश्मीर इस विषय पर अपने विचार व्यक्त करते हुए कश्मीर की सुन्दरता, उसका इतिहास, वहाँ की कला तथा कश्मीर पर मंडराते आतंकवाद की चर्चा की तथा कश्मीर यात्रा के दौरान अपने अनुभवों को भी साझा किया | 

पुरस्कार वितरण,  राष्ट्रगान तथा आभार प्रदर्शन के साथ  इस देश भक्ति से परिपूर्ण कार्यक्रम का समापन हुआ |
