Dear Parents,

Season’s greetings to you!

I would like to congratulate all the students and teachers for a highly successful and busy term. Looking back from when we started the Offline School on those bright sunny days in September, we have seen the students make progress, adjust to the physical classrooms and make lasting memories in this first term of the academic year. We have had many wonderful events including Ganpati Sthapana, Career Counselling Sessions, Math Navigator, Christmas and Bagless Week.

Despite December being the last month of the year, the pace and energy inside the school have not faltered. I know most of the parents have taken the opportunity to read their child's midterm report and also taken the opportunity to discuss this with their child’s class teacher in the individual online PTMs organized by the teachers.

The pandemic has opened a world of opportunities. With the internet and ease of connectivity, we collaborated with schools in Australia, Italy, Tunisia, Morocco and Oman. These international collaborations widened the horizons of the students, gave them an opportunity to interact with students overseas and understand the cultures of these various countries. These sessions have been very enriching and students and teachers are looking forward to many more such collaborative projects.

Learning is not about scoring marks, rather it is about developing skills. The school is conducting various activities to help the students acquire these skills. PBL, SLC, Passion Projects and Bagless Week are all aimed towards making students future-ready. If PBL and SLC endeavour to sharpen their communication, collaboration, problem-solving skills, the bagless week was organized to give them a sneak-peek into vocational training. The students enjoyed the 5-day long training module. I am thankful to the parents and teachers who volunteered and trained the students in skills like embroidery, baking, chocolate making, Mehendi art, paper bag making, stitching etc. Let me also state that skills are not gender-specific. I was happy to see that boys learning skills like embroidery, stitching, Mehendi art and girls learning electrical repairs. In fact, Sairam was in great demand on the culmination day to apply Mehendi.

2021 was a wonderful year. We understood and reflected upon the changes we are all experiencing and worked on some practical and helpful tips on how we can support students to continue to grow both socially and academically.

Finally, I must just say once again a huge thank you to all parents and teachers for a really successful term. There have certainly been challenges and we know that these challenges will be with us as we start 2022. However, with the support of the parent community and a collective view to remain positive, I know we will continue to be successful. Our aim as we approach 2022 is to help our students have a safe and happy school where they will continue to learn, grow and thrive.
