LIFE IS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR
GRADE VII
Our students are the future citizens of India. Worried about the poor air quality in Nagpur, our students tried to find a remedy for the rampant air pollution taking place. The cause, they all agreed, was the use of vehicles and gadgets that work on fossil fuels and electricity.
Students feel the need for clean air where they can breathe easily. Awareness is the FIRST step toward sustainable development. Grade VII students have taken it…
This wonderful song “ Life is a breath of fresh air” sung by them will help them spread this awareness.

Fun with Science
Science Club students made a ‘Balloon Powered Car’ using small pieces of chart paper, polo mint, straws, and a balloon. It was a happy and exciting moment for children to see the working model of their car. This model illustrates the action-reaction forces where the air blown into the balloon gives kinetic energy to the car to run fast.

Absorption of Water in Plants - An Experiment
Students of Grade II were introduced to the concept of water absorption in plants through an activity.
The experiment was conducted in class. Students were asked to take a glass of water, add a little food colour into it and dip a cabbage leaf or a plant in the coloured water.
This was kept aside for 24 hours to observe the colour change due to water absorption. Students participated in the activity enthusiastically and were intrigued by the colour change in the Cabbage leaf/Plant.
