Armed Forces Flag Day

Harmony House
Harmony House conducted the ‘Armed Forces Flag Day’ morning assembly on 8th December 2021. It is a day observed for the fearless determination and valour of our Indian Armed Forces. The entire nation salutes the brave martyrs and the unsung heroes who laid down their lives.
The Armed Forces Flag Day is celebrated all over India every year on the 7th of December in order to collect funds from people all around the country for the wellbeing of the staff of the Indian Armed Forces.
It has become a ritual to observe this day in the great honour of the soldiers, sailors and airmen of India since 1949. It is enthusiastically observed throughout the country to pay a tribute to the courageous and martyred soldiers, to salute them as well as to refurbish the harmony among citizens.
Flags ... red, deep blue and light blue are distributed. Each colour represents the 3 colours of the defence forces, namely the Indian Army, The Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force. The funds collected are looked after by the Kendriya Sainik Board, which is part of the Defence Ministry. The personnel also arrange various marches, carnivals and dramas to showcase their struggle. So, this Flag Day celebration in India brings a lot of hope in the lives of those victims who had sacrificed their precious lives for they, ‘Give Away Their Today for Our Better Tomorrow’.
Harmony House had the privilege to conduct the morning assembly. The overall conduction of the assembly was done by Madhukari Chandra from Grade I B. The significance of this day was shared by Ritvik Sonune of Grade II B. Malhar Wagh presented the News and an inspiring thought was shared by Aaradhya Kamble of Grade I B. A short documentary was shown to brief us about the significance of this day. Ms Deepti Sharma delivered the Teacher’s Talk.
The assembly began with the school prayer and DPS Anthem and concluded with the National Anthem.
National Energy Conservation Day

SERVICE HOUSE
Service House presented the morning assembly on the theme was –National Energy Conservation Day that is observed on 14th December every year. The assembly began with an inspiring quote -“All power is within you; you can do anything or everything”. This was followed by the thought for the day shared by Mohd. Arif and the NEWS presented by Rhythm Shivhare, both from Grade II-A. Ms Simranjeet Kaur delivered the teacher’s talk.
The Assembly was conducted by Ritvik Sonune of Grade II A and it concluded with the National Anthem.
Christmas

“Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind.
To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy is to have the real.”
DPS Lava School Nagpur celebrated Christmas virtually in a unique way with great fervour and enthusiasm on 22nd December 2021 in the Morning Assembly.
It was amazing…some students sang melodious Christmas carols and some came dressed as Santa, delivered the message of peace and harmony around the world and touched everyone's heart.
Students tapped their feet and danced gracefully to the beat of Christmas songs. It was a great way to bring joy and happiness during these challenging times.
The students wished everyone a Merry Christmas and a healthy, happy and fabulous New Year!
The assembly concluded with the National Anthem.
