Applications for Education

StoryCorps offers suggestions for getting a podcast conversation started.

Facing History and Ourselves, a global education non-profit, offers a unit designed for grades 8-10 centered on identity and storytelling.  It provides guidance for students answering the question, "What makes me, me? What story do I want to tell about who I am and what matters to me?"

Book Club for Kids - A biweekly, free podcast which features middle-schoolers talking about popular middle-grade or YA books as well as sharing their favorite book recommendations. Educators and students can submit their recordings to be featured on the podcast.

Bridges & Books - Bridges & Books is one of the first and only teen literature podcasts created and hosted by teens and for teens.  The podcast features teen-hosted interviews with New York Times Bestselling, award-winning, and acclaimed authors of teen literature.  Developed in Pittsburgh, the podcast aims to put the teen back in “teen literature.”

Common Sense Media - Find reviews and recommendations of podcasts for kids, tweens, and teens.
