Please note: For each micro:bit you will need either a computer with a web browser and internet access or a phone or tablet with Bluetooth and the free micro:bit app for MakeCode on Android or iOS mobile devices. After students have written the code, they will connect and transfer it onto the micro:bit using the included USB cable.

micro:bit - Make it. Code it. Improve it.
A micro:bit is a handheld micro-computer that can be programmed to make tons of projects such as robots, musical instruments, or wearable technology. You can code, customize, and control your micro:bit from anywhere!
Students will connect to the block-based coding platform, Microsoft MakeCode, Skill Struck, or Python. Both are browser-based and work on Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, Linux and no software installation is necessary. You can also switch to JavaScript to see the text-based code behind the blocks. Additionally, the editor can also be used offline if needed.
This kit contains 10 micro:bit v.2 boards and all the accessories for use with 10-20 students.
