A: Students are to work through the theoretical components of classwork and tasks. Where possible assessment tasks will be modified at an RTO level to address offsite online delivery and assessment, where students can not be assessed through online formal practical competency assessment (due to the nature of the task, facilities and safety issues) these components will be postponed until schools resume onsite.
A: EVET will communicate with the student in relation to online training
Students should be informed if their assessment result needs to be delayed due to a practical component. In this case the knowledge evidence (written responses) should be marked, and feedback provided. Students should then be resulted as Continuing activity in aXcelerate until the practical component is carried out and marked.
Most schools have contacted their students with times they will be available for teacher- students contact and the method that this contact will be (zoom, microsoft team, email)
Teachers may be delivering theory based content in real time through zoom/or prerecorded video sessions. Students may be engaged in collaborative tasks via google docs/zoom with their classmates and trainers. Practical sessions - Not until students transition back to school in which case practical activities should be carried out where possible (maintaining social distancing requirements).
Students share work (through a google drive/classroom folder) with their trainer. Trainers are able to see the quantity and quality of work completed by students. Student progression in competency tasks are also tracked. Students can access aXcelerate to see their progress in the course
Trainers refer to the competency task list for suitable modifications that can be used with VET tasks. Schools are to arrange avenues for individual support during this time.
