Year 11 - Ceramics
Unit of Work - Sculptural Vessels
In Term 2 and 3, Year 11 Visual Art students developed their ceramic skills, through sculpting a variety of 3D vessels. They have been experimenting with a number of clay making techniques, including coil and slab building and working on the pottery wheel (which has proven quite challenging). These photographs are the initial stages of construction, successfully building their varying vessel designs. We can’t wait to show off their final pieces in the weeks to come once we have fired and glazed the beautiful pieces.

Year 11 - Still Life Drawing
Unit of Work - Inanimate Objects
In Term 1, Year 11 Visual Art students are studied Still Life, Inanimate Objects. They focussed on developing form and space in their sketches, integrating a variety of different tonal rendering techniques to create depth. They have been working a variety of experimental pieces to develop their skills. These pieces include chalk pastel drawings of geometric shapes skulls and mixed media pieces of various fruit and vegetables.
