Unsanctioned Digital Devices

Unsanctioned digital devices include mobile phones, iPods, cameras and portable gaming devices.

The College does not endorse bringing unsanctioned digital devices to the College.

These expensive devices are a target for theft and can be used to compromise the privacy and safety of staff and students.

They can also detract from the rich learning opportunities provided to students whilst participating in everyday College life.

Therefore unsanctioned devices are to be kept in the student's bag whilst on the College grounds unless directed otherwise by a teacher.

No digital device, whether it be sanctioned or unsanctioned, is to be used between lessons or in the playground, during normal school hours.

Teachers may allow students to use unsanctioned digital devices as a tool in class activities or in other appropriate circumstances.

Failure to observe this policy will involve the confiscation of the digital device
