Attend Regent University College Preview Weekend, meet professors, make friends, and get a sample of on-campus life. By attending this event there are discounts and scholarships available.

Liberty University is hosting their "College for a Weekend" on April 4-6. The cost is $50 and will have the opportunity to meet current students, tour the campus, meet with admissions and attend classes. Enjoy a free concert from Chris Renzema. Liberty offers more than 200 undergraduate degree programs. :

Self-advocacy is the ability to identify your needs, communicate those needs, and help others to understand how to help you. Self-advocacy is vital in all aspects of life but is especially important in children. Being that person who “goes with the flow” and doesn’t ruffle feathers can create stress for that person. Self-advocacy is a learned skill that anyone can master with practice. Without the ability to advocate for yourself, your work life can significantly effect your life. You may find yourself overly stressed, anxious, burnt out, and generally unhappy. These issues can negatively impact your health. Self-advocacy raises awareness. It makes others aware of the issues you’re facing. If you never speak up, there’s a good chance peers will not be aware of any challenges. Speaking up for yourself and communicating needs helps to identify gaps, blocks, and issues earlier, allowing your team to help address them.

BOWLING CLUB-🎳Spots are filling fast. Do not delay…..

If your student is interested in joining the spring session of the bowling club, please email Mr. Dekraker asap. wdekraker@dominionridgek12.com

We will cap this session at 30 students and only have 25 spaces on our bus.

Bowling days will be Fridays beginning February 23 and concluding April 19. There will be no bowling session March 29 due to Spring Break.

Bowling will begin promptly at 3:30 with the bus departing approximately at 3:10pm.

Bowling cost will be $100 for 8 sessions which includes shoe rentals.

“This is how we roll” bowling tee-shirt in Royal Blue. The shirt is an optional purchase for $20.00. Please include your athletes shirt size when you register them IF you would like to purchase a shirt. Adult small through Adult XXL.

ARCHERY - 🏹Archery practices each Tuesday(3:15-4:25) & Thursday(3:15-5:00) after school and on occasional Tuesdays. Be on the lookout for emails regarding the upcoming States Tournament!

BASKETBALL- 🏀 Basketball played three games this past week including a spicey battle vs our friends at Mountain View Christian where DRA prevailed. We also challenged Eukarya and RMA.

Next week please support our Warriors by attending our home game vs Valley Thunder on Monday February 5 at 4:30. DRA also travels to SVA February 6 and Fresta Valley February 8th.

PLEASE NOTE: Days when DRA has a 2-hour Delay: Teachers will arrive at 9:45 to prepare for student arrival at 10 am. No students will be permitted to enter the building until 10 am.

Student/Parent Handbook- Inclement Weather

It may become necessary to close school, delay opening, or dismiss early because of inclement weather or some other uncontrollable event. These announcements will be made over The River 95.3 FM, 1450 AM, NBC4, and Gradelink. An emergency announcement email and text alert will also be sent out via Gradelink, so it is imperative that your phone number and email address on file is current, and that your account is activated. On delayed opening days, Before School Care is not provided. The doors will open at 10 a.m., and students are not allowed in the school until then. This provides time for teachers and staff to arrive safely during inclement weather.

❄️ Coats, hats, scarves, gloves, oh my!

Please make sure your children come to school with a warm coat. Jackets, windbreakers, hoodies, etc. are not warm enough as we head into winter months with colder temperatures and winds. Hats, gloves, and scarves are also recommended, but a coat is a requirement. If your child does not have proper winter attire, they will not be able to participate in recess with the rest of the class.
