Dr. Peter Katrik earned his Master of Engineering degree from Slovenská technická univerzita v Bratislave in 2012. Afterwards, he took his Doctor rerum naturalium in Physics at the Technische Universität Darmstadt.
During this post-graduate academic degree, he participated in the Helmholtz Graduate School for Hadron and Ion Research (HGS-Hire) graduate school with the collaboration between GSI Darmstadt and TU Darmstadt for an opportunity to successfully conduct experiments at a world-wide unique research center.
Currently, he is the Work Package Leader of pbar Collimators and Beam Dump Projects at the GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research in Germany. The said research center focuses on Particle accelerator facility & research institute, evolution of the universe, and building blocks of matter.
As a Research Physicist, his project involves the activation analysis of heavy ion accelerator constructing materials and validation of beam-loss criteria.
