Monthly Habitudes

Below are monthly social-emotional conversation topics that occur in the classroom. Habitudes are habits of specific attitudes and decision-making that help students to be successful.

Expectations are beliefs about how the people in a space will act towards and with each other.
Courage is the ability to enter the unknown by confronting challenges, taking risks, and overcoming fears.
As lifelong learners, our growth should never stop. Part of our growth is improving our understanding of ourselves--why we feel what we feel, how we behave, and why we behave.
Growth mindset is believing in the power of yourself and your brain! Growth mindset is when we know, with practice, we will get better at something.
Perseverance is the ability to sustain interest, effort, and commitment in any circumstances that life presents.
Adaptability is being capable of changing or being changed to better suit a situation.
A strong feeling or emotion about something a liking or desire.
An eager desire to learn and often to learn more. Asking the question, “What's happening?” when seeing something that is interesting.
