Equipment/

Uniforms

Attire for concerts will be provided by the music department. Students are responsible for the “outfit” and its return at the end of the year. Students will be charged for damage. Outfits should be stowed appropriately (hung up) so that they are neat and properly maintained. All students should have black, closed-toe “dress” shoes. Gentlemen must have black socks.

In addition to folders and sheet music, students may be assigned additional accessories and equipment to use during the course of their musical endeavors. Everyone is expected to treat all items (including folders, sheet music, instruments, accessories, properties, outfits, costumes, etc.) with the highest level of care and respect. In the rare occurrence of damage or loss as a result of abuse, misuse, loss, or neglect, the student may be required to provide replacement or repair cost for such items. Additional disciplinary action may be exercised.

Although students are permitted to take rehearsal folders home for the purpose of practicing outside of class, it is the expectation that all folders be available in class during every rehearsal (even if you are not here). Failure to return materials (even in the event of an excused absence) is not conducive to defined rehearsal strategies as others are dependent upon having access to those materials; your grade will reflect accordingly.
