Mrs. Childs began playing Viola in 2005 and began playing Violin in 2008. She is currently in her sixth year as a music educator and her fifth year as an orchestra director. Mrs. Childs has previously taught 5th - 12th grade Orchestra in Kankakee School District 111, and K - 5th grade General Music in Joliet School District 86. In addition to teaching in the public school system, Mrs. Childs has taught private lessons to community students on Violin and Viola ranging from 4 years old through High School. She received her Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Olivet Nazarene University in 2018 and completed her Master's in Music Education at Illinois State University in the Spring of 2024. 

Outside of teaching, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family, family game nights, crafting, and baking.

Mr. Foote has been playing Violin since 2004, and picked up Viola in 2011. Mr. Foote received his Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Illinois State University in 2018 and is currently working towards his Master's in Music Education from Vandercook College of Music. Before teaching in District 102, Mr. Foote spent two years as a long term substitute orchestra teacher in various school districts in Illinois. 

Oustide of teaching, he enjoys running and playing board games.
