Provides flexible spaces that promote inquiry, creativity, collaboration, and community.
Current Practices:
Updated High School, Middle School, and Heritage libraries to best utilize our learning spaces
Provides opportunities for students to explore and create using a variety of materials
Converted elementary and intermediate computer labs into makerspaces to focus on STEAM learning (inquiry, collaboration, creativity, community)
Maintains shared library media center calendars
Provides use of library space to school and the community outside of school hours
Destination Imagination, parent groups, scouts, athletic meetings, after school programs
Opportunities for Growth:
Continue to update furniture, shelving, flooring, lighting, etc.
Effectively integrate creative and technological tools
Green screens, videoconferencing, video creation, podcasting, stop motion videos
Establish a long-range plan and shared vision for library spaces
Increase flexibility for elementary Library Media Specialists to offer integrated lessons
