Participates in setting the school district's vision and strategic plan for digital learning and fosters a culture of collaboration and innovation to empower teachers and learners.
Current Practices and Artifacts:
Serves on district and building-level committees
District Technology Team and Building Leadership Team
Collaborates with teachers individually and in teams to curate resources
Collaborates with teachers individually and in teams to develop lessons
Offers to lead professional development at the building level
Members of the following organizations: WEMTA, NEW (Northeast Wisconsin) Library Network, ALA, AASL
Represents district libraries on interview teams for building principals, district technology network specialist, technology support technicians, literacy coaches, technology coaches, teachers, and more
Opportunities for Growth:
Communicate the role of the Library Media Specialist to broaden the understanding of supports that the library team can provide to students, staff, and community
Improve coordination of PLC time between grade levels and Library Media Specialists
Foster a culture of innovation with teachers and learners
Goal Statement:
During the 2025-26 school year, the Library Media Specialists will focus on planning collaboratively with teachers to enhance student learning by effectively utilizing library resources and services.
