Ensures Equitable Digital Access
Provides and advocates for equitable access to collection tools using digital resources, programming, and services in support of the school district's strategic vision.
Current Practices:
Troubleshoots Chromebook issues to ensure smooth device access
Coordinates Chromebook repairs and loaners with the IT department
Provides instruction for students in use of digital resources outside of school
Provides anytime access to library websites, digital resources, and Destiny Catalog on library webpages for students and staff
Opportunities for Growth:
Availability of elementary Library Media Specialists for troubleshooting devices and other technology
Work with Technology Integration Coaches to provide greater consistency in technology usage, training, and comfort level among staff
Time for Library Media Specialists to provide other staff development as needed
Increase family awareness of district provided digital resources
