RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

RIGHTS OF THE STUDENTS

Students in the school shall enjoy the following rights, in addition to those provided under relevant laws, with limitations prescribed by laws and regulations:

Students have the right to receive relevant, quality education aligned with national goals, fostering their full development as individuals with human dignity.

Students are entitled to avail themselves of school guidance and counseling services to aid in decision-making and selecting fields of study suited to their potential.

Students have the right to access their own school records, which shall be maintained and preserved confidentially by the school.

Students are entitled to expeditious action, not exceeding thirty (30) days from the receipt of a request, for the issuance of official school certificates, diplomas, transcripts of records, grades, transfer credentials, and similar school documents or records.

Students have the right to publish a student newspaper and similar publications, as well as to invite resource persons during assemblies, symposiums, and similar activities.

Students are entitled to freely express their opinions and suggestions, utilizing effective channels of communication with the appropriate academic and administrative bodies of the school.

Students have the right to form, establish, join, and participate in organizations and societies for purposes not contrary to law.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF STUDENTS

As students of San Bartolome High School, it is imperative to adhere to certain responsibilities to uphold a safe and orderly environment for everyone:

Students are required to follow the discipline code outlined in the Student Handbook.    

Students must actively participate in school activities and events, adhering to the prevailing rules provided during each session.

Wearing the complete school uniform is mandatory for all students while inside the school premises.

Students are expected to show respect towards fellow students, teachers, administrators, and all other school personnel.

It is the responsibility of students to contribute to the cleanliness and orderliness within the school, starting with their own behavior.

Students must refrain from engaging in activities or causes that could bring disparagement to the name of the school.

By fulfilling these responsibilities, students contribute to creating a positive and conducive learning environment at San Bartolome High School.
