Being the second home, pupils and teachers ought to share common values among themselves such as respect, diligence, obedience, etc. in the attainment of order and peaceful co-existence.
On March 2020, everything has instantaneously changed as the coronavirus pandemic arises across the world. The crisis thoroughly affecting the education system for health was everyone’s concern. Suspension of classes and imposing community quarantine were experienced as new measures were introduced. The Philippine government has ensured the health and safety of all and at the same time, provided alternate platforms for learning to continue. This is how the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan of the Department of Education formulated.
After one school year of fighting the ongoing pandemic, learners were able to take in the most important competencies of the curriculum. With the guidance of the teachers especially the parents, good grades were achieved as well as their good manners. As the children have only stayed at home, it would be a benefit for the parents to have less expenses in their everyday living. On the other hand, teachers undoubtedly have been more creative in making different activity sheets for the learners. Also, attending many webinars could make them more efficient and competent. All other stakeholders have become health enthusiasts, a way that somehow could defeat the spread of COVID19 disease.
Another school year will soon to begin. Internal and external stakeholders are encouraged once again through a loud “Para sa Bata, Para sa Bayan”. As usual, Mahay Integrated School is in prime to continue what have been started in delivering education in this time of crisis. The BE-LCP serves as a guide to an upright path which the school aims to a quality education amidst the pandemic. Programs and projects are aligned to the guidelines of the government and issues along the way are expectantly be encountered. But hand in hand, we can make it as long as there is the spirit of Bayanihan and together, we will stand firmly to this very challenging journey.
