The Open High School Program is an alternative mode of learning designed to make high school more accessible to learners who cannot regularly attend face-to-face classes. Implemented under the policies of the Department of Education (DepEd), the program provides flexible learning opportunities for students who may be working, have health concerns, face financial difficulties, live far from school, or have other valid reasons for not being able to attend daily classes.
Through a combination of self-directed learning modules, limited face-to-face sessions, and teacher-guided support, learners are able to complete the same curriculum and meet the same standards as those in the regular high school program. Upon successful completion, learners receive the same high school credentials as regular students, affirming the school's commitment to inclusive, accessible, and equitable education for all.
