School Canteen refers to one of the ancillary services in the school system that sells food items to the pupils/students and serves as a support mechanism in the effort to eliminate malnutrition concerns of the school. It can be used as a laboratory canteen on food planning, preparation, serving, storage and selling. A school canteen can either be school- managed or teachers’ cooperative-managed.
Maintenance and Other Operating. Expenses (MOOE) refer to expenditures to support the operations of government agencies such as expenses for supplies and materials; transportation and travel; utilities (water, power, etc.) and the repairs, etc.
Assistance refer to the aid /help/contribution/donation provided by private sector partner to public schools implementing K to 12 Program. Assistance may be form of, but not limited to, infrastructure, real estate property, use of facilities, training, and skills development support, funding, consultancy, logistic, technology support and equipment.
The SMEA tool contains all the data requirements relative to the school implementation of mandated processes and school-based initiated interventions for continuous improvement. This serves as the data collection tool to the quarterly progress monitoring and evaluation and a facility to establish school data bank.
