The DRRM Team and Coordinator are expected to:
ensure the establishment of an early warning system for the school,
conduct an annual student-led risk identification and mapping within and around the school premises,
plan and implement disaster preparedness measures,
maintain the safekeeping of vital school records and learning materials,
track all school personnel during disasters,
conduct damage assessments,
facilitate immediate resumption of classes,
and monitor recovery and rehabilitation interventions being implemented in the school, among other roles and responsibilities.

Fire Aid Education and Fire Prevention
School Physical facilities refers to the school plant, that is, the school buildings, classrooms, library, laboratories, toilet facilities, offices and other materials and infrastructures that would likely motivate students towards learning.
The Rapid Assessment of Damages Report(DepEd RADaR) is a mobile and web app developed by DepEd, in partnership with Save the Children Philippines (SCP) and Prudence Foundation, that aims to quickly report impacts of different natural hazards in the schools in terms of infrastructure damages, personnel casualties, classrooms used as evacuation centers, temporary learning spaces needed, as well as non-infrastructure damages such as furniture, learning resources, and computer sets.
These are the tools needed in case of emergency and in performing the duties of School DRRM Officer.
An evacuation route is a way to get out of a building if there is an emergency, such as a fire. A clear evacuation route is very important if there is a fire. ... Put details of evacuation routes near elevators, stairways, and in main hallways so guests know how to get out in an emergency.
The composition of the SDRRM Team shall be aligned with DepEd’s DRRM Framework (DepEd Order 37, s. 2015) incorporating the Four Thematic Areas of DRRM which are; Prevention and Mitigation, Preparedness, Response, and Rehabilitation. Attached is the Information Management Protocol and the suggested Roles and Functions of the School DRRM Team Composition, for information and guidance.
