parent-teacher association

A parent–teacher association/organization, parent–teacher–friend association, or parent–teacher–student association is a formal organization made up of parents, teachers, and school personnel that aims to increase parental involvement in the classroom.

The PTA shall serve as support group and as a significant partner of the school whose relationship shall be defined by cooperative and open dialogue to promote the welfare of the students.
