Students are required to have essential understanding of the English language, including relevant grammar.
Reviewing and teaching grammar will be done in the course of the year.
Special attention will be given to vocabulary. Tests will be held from time to time to assess students' progress and show them if they have any gaps.

Content
This course is intended for students in ‘Keita Yud’ who wish to progress to the English Bagrut in ‘Yud Alef’ and ‘Yud Bet’ (י'א and י'ב)
We will have a focus on grammar and vocabulary required for Bagrut.
Exercises will include: Group and individual discussions, debates, writing literature reviews, essays, letters, and film and book reviews.
We will use poems, short stories and news articles to develop reading comprehension and critical thinking.
We will begin to study, and complete assignments for, the literature module for the Bagrut. This will include HOTS and LOTS on the basis of poems and short stories
There will be writing and presentation projects to complete.
The lesson will be delivered in English.
Terms of activity
Attendance is mandatory as well as coming to class on time with motivation.
Students are expected to perform classroom tasks and complete any homework on time.
Bring equipment for each lesson - a lined notebook, pens and pencils.
A textbook and workbook will be provided..

Reading comprehension (Modules C, E) shall be taught through appropriate textbooks and exercises with focus on strategies to better understand the text and types of questions.
.Writing: types of essays and their structure, vocabulary and grammar structures
Listening: audio pieces targeting Bagrut preparation, strategies of “hearing” and memorizing information
We will continue to study, and complete assignments for, the literature module for the Bagrut. This will include HOTS and LOTS on the basis of poems and short stories
.Oral presentation: preparing and delivering presentations, holding discussions and/or debates
Class will be taught in English. Students are encouraged to have the approved dictionaries .

.Preparation for the COBE: simulation of the test in the school computer class, studying appropriate topics-related vocabulary
Class will be taught in English. Students are encouraged to have the approved dictionaries .
