¿Quién es?  = Who is that?

¡Hola!  My name is Jennie Chavez and I have been teaching Spanish for about 20 years.  I LOVE Spanish.  It is a beautiful language and so fun to use!  I learned Spanish while I was serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Honduras.  I was lucky enough to have a wonderful site at Lancetilla Botanical Gardens.  I helped the guides learn English, helped them with tourism plans, environmental education and worked with a border community.  It is located in a subtropical rainforest and is incredibly beautiful. 

When I returned to the states, I worked as an English as a Second Language Teacher at the Converse International School of Languages in San Diego, CA.  I had students from all over the world.  

Colorado was pulling us back home, so my husband and I moved to Paonia, CO.  We have been here for over 22 years and absolutely love it! I have taught at Delta High School, Paonia High School, and now I am at the North Fork Montessori @ Crawford.  I love teaching all ages of students (ages preschool - 6th grade).
