El Contrato Social

This year we will be working on and abiding by a Social Contract for our classroom. The students come up with the guidelines of the contract by asking and answering the following questions:

How do you want to be treated by the teacher?

How do you want to be treated by each other?

How do you think the teacher wants to be treated by you?

How do you want to treat each other when there is a conflict?

The students came up with these words and phrases to put on the contract in LOWER EL:

Hugs = abrazos

Be a good sport = Tenga buen espíritu deportivo

Use Spanish! = Usa el idioma español!

Keep hands to yourself = Manten tus manos en tí

Kind = amable

Helpful = ayudante

The students came up with these words and phrases to put on the contract in UPPER EL:

No grites! = Don't yell

Levanta la mano = raise your hand

Sea honesto = be honest

Respeto a uno al otro = respect one another

No drama = no drama

No interrumpir = don't interrupt

No conversaciones cuando la maestra habla = no conversations when the teacher is talking

We will refer back to the contract if a student is not treating one another or the teacher in this way.
