Elementary Walk Throughs
Chamblee High School's Elementary School Walk-Throughs are parent-organized. They are for the lower schools that our graduates attended in Dekalb Elementary (K-8th grades). Currently, these schools below have planned to welcome graduates: Montgomery ES, Ashford Park ES, Huntley Hills ES, Oakcliff ES, and TBD Kittridge Magnet School).
If you are a parent of a graduate and your child's school is not listed, please consider beginning a grad walk for that school. Read the section at the bottom of this page.
Chamblee High School has on our calendar that Seniors may do walk-throughs at their respective elementary schools.
By Friday 5/10, RSVP to the appropriate feeder school Grad walks, if you attended Ashford Park, Montgomery, or Huntley Hills. These 3 schools are all hosting grads on Monday 5/13. Please read the respective RSVP/Invitation below for specific times and school details. Additional schools may be added - watch the senior website page, linked after the RSVPs for any additional Grad Walks/Open Houses. Also, share these links (they will be on the website https://tinyurl.com/CHS2024GradWalks ) with 2024 grads who don't attend CHS, but were in your elementary school class.

Neither Chamblee Staff nor Chamblee PTAs run the Senior Walk-thrus.

Contact the elementary or magnet school's current principal or parent liaison, arrange a time for students to arrive, create a Google sign-up form for students so you'll know who is entering your building and why, and then send that information on to Ms. H.Miller and she will post on this page. If you are on a different day or time, contact Ms. Miller to see if the Seniors are free. We want to be inclusive, but the parents have to own this task. 🙂
It is so exciting for the little kids to see the big kids in their caps and gowns. Maybe one of these grads will inspire a little to graduate so they can one day come back and do their senior walk thru. The graduates love it, too.
Kittridge Magnet had a drop-in walk-thru that was a different time than the other elementary schools. Wadsworth Magnet, DESA, Globe Academy, etc.) and you have contacted the principal and roughed out a time, please email it to Ms. H.Miller so she can add it to the senior calendar. Also, please email the "anyone with a link" link to your school's Google Permission Form and Ms. Miller will add it here. If you have a "drop-in" instead of a walk-thru, Ms. Miller will note that as well.
And you can send a picture or two of your grad walks if you want it posted here. Of course, Ms. Miller will blur the faces of children before posting.
