In Lessen 1, learners already learned about the commitment for business stability with the sub- topics of roles and duties of business owners, resource management, production management, logistics management, and research for development. All sub-topics are focusing on the entrepreneur. Topic 2, measurement and evaluation for stability in occupation taught the factors of measurement and evaluation as well as self-assessment to conclude whether doing the business or not and how to expand the occupation.

To create greater stability, the entrepreneur should analyze the 5 factors of efficiency in occupational expansion as follows:

1. Potential of natural resources in each area

2. Potential of the climate in each area

3. Potential of the topography and location in each area

4. Potential of art, culture, tradition and life style in each area

5. Potential of human resources in each area

1. Potential of Natural Resources in each Area

Natural resources are resources that exist without any actions of humankind. Humans can use in daily life and in occupation. Natural resources are forests, rivers, air, minerals, etc. Some natural resources disappear after being used such as minerals. Some resources are able to renew themselves such as forests. Trees can be planted again after cutting them down. Therefore, the entrepreneur should consider whether there are enough natural resources which is necessary to expand the occupation or not. If not, the entrepreneur should rethink the business should go on running or it can be supplied from some areas nearby which may meet higher costs for transportation. For example, if we want to expand swine farming from 100 to 200 pigs, we must consider whether the fodder supply in the area such as rice bran is sufficient or not.

2. Potential of the Climate in each Area

In each region, the weather will be different such as in Central Thailand the weather is rather warm and in the south, there is more rain for longer periods. In the north, the weather may be cooler. Some occupations especially in agriculture depend on the weather condition, such as growing lychees or longans. During harvest season, the products may flood the market and the price will drop significantly. Persevering longans by drying may increase the price for the product; therefore, we need to consider if the sunlight is strong or not.

3. Potential of Topography and Location in each Area

Topography and location will be different for each area such as mountains, plateaus and low land. Therefore, each area affects the expansion of an occupation, for example searching for new tourism resources, we should consider whether the new location is attractive for tourists or not. If someone wants to open more fresh coffee shops in other locations, they need to consider whether the new location can do this business or not.

4. Potential of Art, Culture, Tradition and Life Style in each Area

Each area in Thailand as well as other countries has some diversity in art, culture, tradition and life style. Therefore, every area can benefit from occupations such as art galleries, cultural shows, or life style sightseeing tours. These expanding activities can increase the number of visits to satisfy customer

5. Potential of Human Resources in each Area

Human resources mean human capital, the knowledge and skills which the individuals command.  When an occupation has already been established in an area, it can be expanded to other areas. The spreading of the ability of human resources can be done by transferring knowledge and ability to others. When most entrepreneurs have already developed their occupations until it becomes well known, stable and extensive, they can expand their business by increasing the quantity and branches by taking all 5 potentials for consideration.
