1. The guidelines of the occupational expansion

1.1 Reasons for the occupational expansion

All the reasons for expanding occupations mentioned above can be summarized as follows:

From: Canva

1. Economic Condition

2. Social Condition

3. Cultural Condition

4. Environmental Condition

Generally, the reasons for expanding occupations in each environment are dependent. They have some linkages in order to increase the income in the main occupation which will increase in value as explained in this diagram.

1.2 Main Concept of Occupational Expansion

For the guidelines of the occupational expansions, we should summarize all the principles of the concept which may consist of what the inputs of occupational expansions are, what the processes of production are and what will happen at the end of the development. As shown in the following examples.

From the diagram above, the concept of the occupational expansion is how to use leaves and substandard sweet-potatoes by processing and using them as hogwash. The average weight of pigs can be up to 90 kg within 6 months.

1.3 Analyzing the Sufficiency of an Operation

The learners should continue to explore; in fact, find out the reasons and have their own concept. Then analyze the interaction among variations of productions that may consist of the products that can reduce the cost of production, the variations of sufficiency, immunity, wisdom and ethics. The result of this analysis can foretell events happening and what we have to do on the scope of sufficiency as mentioned below:

Example: From this table it shows the results of the analysis of the correlation of activities in occupational expansions and the variations of the sufficiency economy.

1.4 Planning for Occupational Expansions

After analyzing the occupational concept, we can see the interaction between variations of productions and the “Sufficiency Economy”. Furthermore we will know whether the concept of occupational expansions is appropriate or not. From the example, the philosophy of sufficiency economy will control our concept in appropriate scope with immunity. Under this concept, we can make sure for the best opportunity to become successful in the career. For the occupational settings, we can also benefit from the I-P-O circle (Input-Process-Output) as a basic approach to occupational expansion as shown in the flowchart below:

From this point, we can see the activities of the business clearly. The scope of the occupations can be further expanded to become more stable and sustainable in the future.

1.5 Knowledge Management

Concept of Knowledge Management

From the diagram above, knowledge management is composed of many factors such as :

organizations or persons in any occupations, scope of knowledge, work activities for making the occupations strong and stable. Therefore, it is necessary for the workers in any occupational performance to acquire and improve their knowledge levels for their occupations.

From the content above, the knowledge management models can be summarized into 2 steps.

1. Raising level of occupational knowledge

2. Using knowledge for strength, stability, sustainability in occupations

(will be explained in the next topic).

Raising the level of occupational knowledge is the management of knowledge to work either intermittently or continuously. There are at least 5 formal operations in an occupational business.

            1. Selection of knowledge is a part of business development, which can cover strength, stability and sustainability of the business.

            2. Knowledge acquisition is a continuous process after selecting the topic of knowledge. The team of occupational development should search for local wisdom and other learning resources by using the following processes:

3. Knowledge sharing is to summarize the guidelines of activities for each group to do the following tasks, for example search for knowledge, summarize, do reports, share knowledge, and summarize in the form of a development model.

4.  Knowledge application is a continuous process after it has been shared by trying out the applicable practices, recording the results of the tests, retrying until assuring the results, then doing the evaluation and taking a conclusion.

5. Knowledge summary can be done by collecting information and writing a summary in a notebook as the following:

1)   Over all working system

2)   Indication of the quality and standard of production

3)   Indication of procedures in a concise language which is easy to follow.

4)   Indication of task factors with needed standards

An operation manual or a handbook is a document for performing and controlling the quality of tasks. Therefore, it can be upgraded to be strong, stable and sustainable for the occupational group.
